Capital Group is seeking an Institutional Retirement Product Manager to provide leadership and management for the intermediary-sold client segment focusing on our retirement plan recordkeeping business (401(k)s, SIMPLE IRAs, SEP IRAs, etc.). As a Product Manager, you will execute product roadmaps and business strategies to support the... success of the intermediary-sold client segment. You will have a broad understanding of the market landscape, customers, and product offerings across the client segment. You will have an appreciation for how Institutional Retirement fits within the North America Client Group (NACG) and how to effectively navigate across NACG and CG, particularly around how we go-to-market with our sales and marketing teams. You will cultivate connectivity between cross-functional business partners (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Market Research, RPS, AFSG, etc.) and foster an open and engaged environment for associates across multiple offices. You will have an influential voice in the leadership of the intermediary-sold client segment within the Institutional Retirement Client Group (IRCG).
The Institutional Retirement Product Manager will have a deep and broad knowledge of investment services and demonstrate strategic thinking with an operating mindset that considers practical execution of intermediary-sold client segment business priorities. You will provide leadership through strong business acumen, product management functional expertise and a deep commitment to supporting and developing associates. You will encourage diverse thinking and will demonstrate a client-centric and solution-oriented approach to reach business outcomes.

• You have experience in developing and executing retirement plan related product-level business plans (401(k), SIMPLE IRA, etc.)
• You will participate in cross-functional forums and product governance groups to review product ideas, assess viability of product changes, and ensure organizational alignment around product direction.
• You understand various products in the market, as well as competitive and regulatory trends, to ensure CG is delivering an attractive product; recommends changes to strategy, as appropriate.
• You can align new ideas to product strategy and roadmap, considering competing projects and programs; recommends ideas for further consideration.
• You have experience in creating compelling business cases, considering financial and customer impacts. Defines success measures and adoption goals; evaluates results relative to business case.
• You have strong technical investment acumen and the ability to communicate investment concepts effectively
• You are well versed in current and possible future investment industry trends in distribution, products and portfolio construction
• You have been successful in collaborating and developing/maintaining relationships across complex and large organizations
• You are a skilled communicator with strong writing capabilities, and can relay technical and complex concepts to internal and external constituents.
• You have a track record of influencing senior business leaders on strategic matters
• You are solution-orientated and able to help generate success in sales, marketing, and other client-oriented situations
• Strongly prefer someone with Managed Account and CIT subject matter expertise
Southern California Base Salary Range: $148,045-$236,872
San Antonio Base Salary Range: $121,706-$194,730
New York Base Salary Range: $156,935-$251,096
Indianapolis Base Salary Range: $129,636-$207,418
In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
