About the role


CaptivateIQ is seeking an experienced Revenue Accountant to support our rapid growth and increasingly complex accounting operations. You will be an integral part of the Company's Accounting team focusing on supporting our accounts receivable function. The ideal candidate possesses a strong accounting background, is comfortable being hands-on, and thrives in the fast-changing world of growth-stage companies.


Responsibilities
  • Serve as an integral part of our order-to-cash process including processing sales orders, generating customer invoices, recognizing revenue in accordance with ASC 606, and managing customer collections.
  • Assist with our procure-to-pay process including receiving & coding of expenses, posting prepaids & accruals, and supporting the timely payment of vendor bills
  • Aid in the implementation of new software to help drive simplicity and automation
  • Complete monthly tax filings and address state & local tax issues with external advisors
  • Identify technical accounting issues and support the team to implement solutions
  • Support the annual financial audit
  • Other duties and ad-hoc projects as required


Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar accounting role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Highly organized, independent, self-motivated, objective thinker with excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • High proficiency in Excel (e.g., vlookups, sumifs, pivot tables)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of revenue recognition under U.S. GAAP
  • Comfort working remotely with occasional travel
  • Experience with NetSuite and Maxio
  • Working knowledge of ASC 606 a plus
  • Experience in public accounting a plus
  • CPA preferred

$60,000 - $87,000 a year
CaptivateIQ takes a market-based approach to pay, and the base salary range for this job posting shows the minimum and maximum target starting base salary. The successful candidate’s starting base salary will be determined based on the candidate’s job-related skills, relevant experience, education, work location, market conditions, and other factors. This range may be modified in the future. Certain positions may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, and other benefits.
