Casual Fridays is a digital marketing agency specializing in content creation, social media management, and paid social strategy for hotels & resorts, and hospitality brands.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Field Content Creator/Production Assistant with a passion for travel to join our team! This role blends content creation with production support to deliver high-quality visual content for our clients in the hotel and resort sector. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling, foundational knowledge of professional camera operation, and a knack for short-form video creation. Must be based in Dallas, Texas; Remote role with up to 75% out-of-state travel required.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Content Creation:
    • Capture high-quality iPhone photography and videography tailored to hotel and resort clients’ branding needs.
    • Create engaging short-form video content, including Instagram Reels, aligned with client marketing strategies.
    • Ensure content captured aligns with the shot list and vision provided in advance by the Account Team.
  2. Production Support:
    • Maintain accurate logs of production-related equipment, assist with creation of production schedule, and facilitate talent coordination as needed pre- and post-production.
    • Set up and break down (sometimes heavy) equipment for content shoots, ensuring everything is ready for smooth production.
    • Assist in scouting locations for optimal lighting, framing, and ambiance to enhance visual storytelling.
    • Coordinate with on-site staff and teams to facilitate access to shoot locations.
  3. Foundational Camera Knowledge:
    • Operate professional cameras and equipment when required, ensuring proper framing, focus, and settings.
    • Understand and apply basic principles of photography and videography, including composition, lighting, and exposure.
    • Be open to additional training and feedback from our Creative Lead/Videographer.
  4. Cross-Department Collaboration:
    • Partner with Account Managers, Account Coordinators, and Creative Lead to align content with strategic goals.
    • Provide creative input during brainstorming sessions for campaigns and projects.
    • Maintain clear communication with team members to ensure deadlines are met and deliverables exceed expectations.
  5. Client Interaction:
    • Represent the company confidently and professionally during on-site shoots, understanding that you will be meeting new client contacts for almost every shoot.
    • Work closely with clients to understand their vision and implement it effectively during production.
  • Proven experience in iPhone photography and videography, with samples.
  • Minimum foundational knowledge of professional photography and/or videography.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, particularly Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
  • Proficiency in content editing tools.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds of production equipment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
  • Ability to adapt to changing client needs and project requirements with a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends.
  • Hotel, resort, or hospitality experience a plus.
