Documentation EngineerCEI’s entertainment client is adding a Documentation Engineer to their team based out of Orlando, FL. We are looking for a skilled Documentation Engineer to join our team. You will play a crucial role in capturing complex technical concepts and transforming them into comprehensive documentation that is accessible to a wide range of audiences. The ideal candidate will have expert-level proficiency in technical writing with a basic in Python programming and AWS cloud infrastructure. We’re looking more for an ex or current engineer who enjoys writing, someone who would be self-sufficient in reviewing code and writing documentation on their own.Job at a glance:• 12-month contract• $70-$80 /hr. W2• Orlando, FL - Onsite 1-2 days per weekResponsibilities:• Attend technical meetings, accurately capturing notes, decisions, and action items• Transform high-level information into well-structured documentation• Collaborate with engineers and subject matter experts to ensure accuracy• Translate complex technical jargon into easy-to-understand language• Create and maintain a repository of technical documentation using markdown documents and version control systems such as Git.• Organize documentation for easy navigation and searchability• Continuously update the documentation to reflect changes• Ensure adherence to style guides and documentation standards• Review and edit team documentation for quality and consistency• Work cross-functionally to gather insights for documentationRequired Skills:• Proven experience as a Technical Writer or similar role• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with software engineering concepts• Experience with AWS services like Kinesis, Lambda, and CDK• Proficiency in using markdown documents for documentation and version control systems like Git• Ability to grasp and communicate complex technical topics• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills• Familiarity with software methodologies and tools• Collaborative spirit to work with cross-functional teams• Superior organizational and time management abilities• Ability to quickly learn new technologiesDesired Skills:API, SDK, or developer-focused writing experience a plusCEI delivers solutions that help our customers transform their businesses and achieve meaningful results as a trusted technology partner.
