Chief Architect - Remote

The Chief Architect reports to the SVP, Engineering and works closely with other functional leaders in the company to drive Innovation at Accruent. You will be responsible for defining and driving the adoption of the long-term architecture. Successful candidates will have outstanding technology background and a track record of delivering successful products as both a developer, leader, and architect. The ability to lead architecture strategy, prioritize changing demands, multitask, and creatively meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment is a must for this position. The ability to clearly articulate technical messages for a variety of audiences including C-Level, through both written and verbal means, is a critical skill necessary for success in this position. Being able to take the initiative in driving technical execution is critical.

How you'll make a difference:

• Develop and drive the technology roadmap, taking into consideration emerging technologies, customer needs, and business objectives.
• Lead the evaluation and selection of new technologies and tools for the platform.
• Lead a team of senior architects by bringing technical expertise across the organization.
• Ability to lead and influence culture change.
• Drive strong customer focus mindset within the team.
• Solid understanding of security concepts and methods for protecting data.
• Drive scalability, performance, efficiency, resiliency, and security of the platforms.
• Communicate design concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Serve as the primary voice of the architecture strategy, communicating decisions and tradeoffs to all stakeholders.

What you bring to the table:

• 10+ years of experience building large-scale distributed systems and applications, including architecture, design, development, and performance tuning.
• 5+ years people leadership experience with global dispersed team.
• Demonstrated experience architecting, building, and operating distributed large scale, high-volume and highly available software systems on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Demonstrated experience creating and establishing technical vision and architecture within successful companies.
• Experience in Big Data Analytics and the ability to unlock value from historic data.
• Strong communication skills. Proven ability to ask the tough questions, listen, facilitate, and present complex ideas to groups large and small and any audience.
• Merger & Acquisition experience is highly preferred.

The salary range for this position is $137,600-$255,600. This position is also eligible for a bonus as part of the compensation package.

Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to: job-related knowledge; skills; experience; and other eligibility factors such as geographic location. The Total Rewards package includes competitive base pay and an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and several programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work.
