Promotes the mission, vision, and values of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, meets regulatory requirements, and maintains accurate records across the system. Proactively supports efforts that ensure delivery of safe patient care and services and promote a safe environment at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.Experience• 3 years of experience in environmental servicesPreferred Qualifications• N/AEducation• High school diploma or equivalentCertification Summary• No professional certifications requiredKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills• Ability to work without direct supervision• Ability to coordinate work schedules and effectively utilize manpower to accomplish required tasks and projects• Ability to apply judgment and make sound decisions• Ability to balance a hectic workload and manage multiple priorities• Ability to identify problems, brainstorm possible solutions, communicate and take action, solve the problem, and prevent the problem from recurring• Understands procedures for handling, mixing, using, labeling, and disposal of all chemicals used in performing job functions• Knows correct methods for cleaning up chemical spills and the procedures for reacting to chemical exposuresJob Responsibilities• Cleans, dusts, empties waste baskets, removes trash, replenishes room supplies, wipes/polishes furniture and porcelain fixture, cleans floors, cares for beds and linens, and performs checkout cleaning.• Provides excellent service in interactions with all customers, including coworkers, patients, visitors, physicians, and volunteers.• Acts as a shift lead in supporting supervisor with operational responsibilities on a daily basis.• Assists with training needs of staff.• Thinks, acts, and behaves as the shift lead in the absence of supervisor or manager.• Assists with completion of required number of inspections in a timely manner.• Complies with procedures for handling, mixing, using, labeling, and disposal of all chemicals used in performing job functions.• Supports and participates in the continuous assessment and improvement of quality of services provided.• Drives and facilitates timely discharge and transfer cleaning to support admission, discharge, and transfer process through prioritization of resources.• Removes barriers or escalates to appropriate leader.• Assist Supervisor and/or Manager with development of staff by being available to teammates, acting as a resource to help complete complicated/complex tasks, providing on the job training to team, and seeking out opportunities to become actively involved in staff workflow and development.• Provide Supervisor and/or Manager feedback on staff performance, educational needs, and workflow status.Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all qualified applicants and employees without regard to race, color, sex, religion, national origin, citizenship, age, veteran status, disability or any other characteristic covered by applicable law.Primary Location Address1001 Johnson Ferry RdJob FamilyEnvironmental Services
