The Bureau of Asset Management is responsible for oversight of the investment portfolios of the five New York City pension systems. Responsibilities of the Public Markets-Portfolio Construction Intern include, but are not limited to:
- Assist the Portfolio Construction team, checking data integrity, modifying and creating templates, working with BarraOne
- Coding to simplify existing processes
- Review current presentations and work to improve them
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT: Matriculation at an accredited graduate school. Employment is conditioned upon continuance as a student in graduate school.
IMPORTANT:
- Our office is located at the David Dinkins Municipal Building, 1 Centre St. in Manhattan/New York.
- All interns will work in-person in the office, Monday – Thursday, 28 hours per week.
- The employment period will be from June 2 – July 31, 2025.
Candidates must be currently enrolled in a graduate degree program in an accredited college, university or law school.

As a Graduate Intern in Public Markets Portfolio Construction at the New York City Comptroller’s Office, you'll be a key player in the Bureau of Asset Management.
