The Office of Chief Medical Examiner investigates cases of persons who die within New York City from criminal violence, by accident, by suicide, suddenly when in apparent health, when unattended by a physician, in a correctional facility or in any suspicious or unusual manner or where an application is made pursuant to law for a permit to cremate a body of a person.

Under the supervision of the HR Project Coordinator, with some latitude for independent judgment the selected candidate will be responsible for the below:
HR Communications & Postings
-Collaborate with HR team to create content for newsletters, emails, intranet posts, and other internal messaging channels
-Work closely with the agency Public Affairs team to ensure that content meets agency standards.
Training Coordination
-Serve as agency training liaison, completing enrollments in accordance with City processes
-Coordinate and schedule trainings, working with managers to assess training needs
-Learn to monitor and illicit feedback, recommending adjustments as necessary
-Assist in the creation, maintenance, and updating of training materials, including presentations, handouts, etc.
-Support Performance Management, and Performance Management Compliance
Employee Engagement
-Support initiatives that foster employee engagement through effective communication of HR programs, events, and surveys
-Manage and coordinate employee feedback mechanisms such as surveys or focus groups, ensuring the results are communicated effective to stakeholders
Assist in organizing events on behalf of HR and the agency
Internship Program
-Coordinate onboarding processes for new interns, including orientation
-Handle day-to-day logistics of the internship program, including tracking, communication, and reporting
-Liaise with supervisors to ensure that internship needs are met
-Monitor offboarding and evaluation compliance
Documentation & Reporting
-Organize and maintain HR files and records
-Prepare and learn to analyze reports
-May assist with HR-Compliance and other projects as needed
