We're looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineering Director to help us accomplish our mission to improve lives by learning from the experience of every cancer patient. Here's what you need to know about the role, our team and why Flatiron Health is the right next step in your career.

What You'll Do

Enterprise Engineering at Flatiron serves the larger engineering organization by providing a foundation for applications used by clinics across the US and research organizations globally. We are responsible for Network and System Engineering, Operating System management and maintenance, and Infrastructure Operations. We build systems and tooling that enable Engineers across Flatiron to build on reliable infrastructure with ease. As such, we are looking for a leader who can manage a team of skilled engineers to continuously improve our infrastructure while balancing personnel needs and the priorities and requirements of the business.

What you will do:

  • Set vision and direction for Enterprise Engineering to deliver on its cloud infrastructure tooling, observability, reliability, and capacity goals
  • Lead partnerships broadly across the Engineering, Site Reliability, Finance, Support and Application teams to effectively scale and plan for our infrastructure and investments
  • Build and retain a diverse, inclusive organization, consisting of 7 - 10 highly skilled engineers and managers through mentorship, guidance and career development
  • Define roadmaps to reduce the human toil required to operate Flatiron systems

You’re a kind, passionate and collaborative problem-solver who seeks and gives candid feedback, and values the chance to make an important impact.

  • You have led the design, implementation, and delivery of large cross functional projects
  • You have formed successful relationships with senior leaders and have the technical depth to work closely with tech leads
  • You are forward thinking, able to consume information from various sources and arrive at conclusions about what will be important in the future and make appropriate groundwork investments to enable these opportunities
  • You are self-motivated and able to identify areas of opportunity and deliver high-value contributions
  • You have experience driving large scale change across an organization.
  • You have experience with test frameworks and automation and expertise in manual and automated test planning and execution
  • You have a passion for user experience and technical efficiency

If this sounds like you, you'll fit right in at Flatiron.
