Product Management Intern

Cambridge Mobile Telematics (CMT) is the world’s largest telematics service provider. Its mission is to make the world’s roads and drivers safer. Auto insurers, automakers, commercial mobility companies, and the public sector use insights from CMT’s platform to power risk assessment, safety, claims, and driver improvement programs. CMT is looking for a collaborative, customer-committed, and creative Product Management Intern who wants to join us in making roads safer by making drivers better!

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive market analysis and research to identify, document, and analyze various commercial fleet management / telematics service products available in the market
  • Evaluate the features, functionalities and public APIs of top fleet management providers / data aggregators in the market to support the design of connected fleet market product
  • Research and compile fleet telematics based insurance pricing factors from existing telematics based insurance products in the market to come up with recommendation on pricing tiers 
  • Assist in creating detailed reports/presentations summarizing research findings & recommendations
  • Write product requirements and translate them into actionable items (using Jira, Confluence and other applicable  tools) 
  • Collaborate with internal and external customers to gather input, validate findings, and contribute to roadmap planning and decision-making processes
  • Shadow Product Management, Product Design and Analytics to understand best practices to problem solving
  • Complete any other tasks that may arise

Qualifications:

  • Actively pursuing an MBA or a Bachelor’s
  • A logical and structured critical thinker with rigorous analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication [American English]
  • Experience in conducting customer research, competitive analysis and market research
  • Understanding of and familiarity with APIs is a big plus 
  • Technology and/or Insurance experience is a plus
  • You get a rush when you've solved a problem
  • Detail-oriented and organized
