About Coco
At Coco, we’re dedicated to perfecting the last-mile delivery experience through robotics. We believe the delivery service industry in its current state is massively under-serving merchants, and we are committed to creating a sustainable, reliable, and frictionless delivery experience for merchants and their customers.
Coco is a venture-backed, Series A startup that operates hundreds of robots, delivering to thousands of customers every week around the world. The environment here is high-energy, collaborative, and exciting.
About the Role
As a Senior Electrical Engineer at Coco, you will be responsible for designing and developing the electrical systems that power our robotic delivery vehicles. You will own projects from system architecture and schematic capture to component selection, board design, testing, bring-up, and debugging. Collaborating closely with mechanical engineers, software engineers, product managers, and other cross-functional teams, you will ensure that our robots are equipped with reliable and efficient electrical systems that meet our high standards for performance and scalability. Your expertise will directly contribute to enhancing the functionality and reliability of our robot fleets, driving Coco’s mission forward.
Note: This is an in-office role. Coco is an office-first, highly collaborative and cross-functional company. We are looking for someone who is excited about the energy, collaboration, and culture-building opportunities of an in-office work environment.
About the Team
As a member of our Electrical Engineering team, you’ll join a group of innovative and passionate engineers dedicated to building the core electrical systems of our delivery robots. Our responsibilities include:
System Architecture: Designing the overall electrical architecture for our robots, ensuring seamless integration of motor drives, cameras, sensors, high-speed compute units, RF modules, and power electronics.
Schematic Capture & Component Selection: Creating detailed schematics and selecting appropriate components to meet performance, cost, and reliability requirements.
PCB Design: Developing printed circuit board layouts that optimize factors including signal integrity, power distribution, reliability, cost, and manufacturability.
Testing & Debugging: Leading the testing, bring-up, and debugging of electrical systems to ensure functionality and reliability in real-world operating conditions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with mechanical, software, and firmware engineers to integrate electrical systems with other robot subsystems, ensuring cohesive and efficient product development.
Continuous Improvement: Implementing best practices and innovative solutions to improve the efficiency, scalability, and reliability of our electrical systems.
