Job Description:

Codeium already gives AI-powered tools to hundreds of thousands of individual developers and development teams at thousands of enterprises, from startups to Fortune 500 companies. With millions of installations of our extensions, a first of its kind agentic product in Windsurf, and intense traction in the enterprise sector, Codeium has uniquely already achieved strong product market fit, and is looking to take it to the next level. As a communications specialist, you will be responsible for how we tell our story – from determining the strategy, to building and managing relationships with media, influencers, analysts, and other key stakeholders. You are expected to work relatively autonomously with high agency and low ego . Your role will be instrumental in building brand value, and will also advance the adoption of AI technology.

This is a unique opportunity to work at an AI startup with a real product and real users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build awareness of important Codeium milestones: As part of the marketing team, create and execute a plan that drives awareness of Codeium among our key audiences.

  • Lead media relations: As the media’s point of contact for all things Codeium, you will create a plan to build and foster key media relationships, and navigate all inquiries.

  • Coach our team of storytellers: Help our leaders participate in the public discourse about topics that are relevant to our customers and industry. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • 2+ years professional experience in communications, ideally at a fast-growing tech startup.

  • Excellent writing and editing skills

  • High EQ; able to influence and build trust

  • Self-starter with strong creativity and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at once in ambiguity

  • Experience in web design, photo/video editing software, content production, etc. a plus
