Job Description

The right team is more than an advantage, it’s a game changer! Come work with a team of professionals dedicated to design excellence at Coffman Engineers’ Atlanta (Duluth) Office. 

We are seeking a highly skilled, self-motivated, technically minded Senior Civil Engineer with 8 to 12 years of experience to join our team in applying engineering skills to a variety of challenging projects. We are looking for someone with experience that ranges from project entitlements and preliminary design through construction documents and construction administration.

Qualifications

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Expected Base Salary: $90,000 to $120,000 based on experience.
  • Possible Signing Bonus based on experience.
  • Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate.
  • Competitive end of year discretionary bonus based on company/team/personal performance.
  • Hybrid work schedule (subject to change).
  • 401k with maximum of 5% Contribution Matching with 9% Employee Contribution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration required
  • Registration in Georgia preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional land development experience in the design of life sciences, commercial, office, higher education, mixed-use, residential, healthcare, municipal, and/or Federal projects including:
    • Managing multiple, concurrent projects
    • Leading design team efforts
    • Successfully managing project budgets and schedules
    • Interfacing with a multi-discipline design team
    • Mentoring junior staff
  • Technical experience with hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, technical studies, mapping documents, preparation and processing of civil construction documents, and earthwork calculations
  • Stormwater experience in Georgia and Southeast USA preferred
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Specification preparation experience preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to foster long term client relationships
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Metro Atlanta experience and relationships a plus

Expected Salary Range $90,000 to $120,000
