Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer with 15+years of experience, who wants to work and grow as a team player within our progressive multi-discipline firm. The successful individual will be a licensed structural engineer with solid experience in the design of steel, concrete, wood, and masonry commercial/institutional buildings.

The position is hybrid where the staff are in-person three days a week and have the option to work remotely two days a week. The optional remote workdays of the week are currently Monday and Friday. These guidelines are reassessed periodically.
 

In This Role You Will:

  • Perform and oversee structural analysis, design, and detailing on a variety of commercial & institutional building projects.
  • Collaborate with the architect, owner, and contractor to provide a well-coordinated and high-quality set of structural drawings.
  • Lead and manage a team of engineers, designers and drafters to execute structural designs.
  • Meet with the project team to ensure effective communication flow during design.
  • Interface with the contractor during construction to ensure positive results with minimum complications
  • Manage profitably of projects and maintain a working relationship with clients.
  • Actively interact with new and existing clients to help win new structural projects.
  • Work closely with the Senior Discipline Manager and assist in office production management.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Approximate Base Salary – $130,000 - $170,000.00 annually based on experience.
  • Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate.
  • Competitive end of year discretionary bonus based on company/team/personal performance.
  • Hybrid Work Schedule (subject to change).
  • 401k with maximum of 5% Contribution Matching for 9% Employee Contribution.

Qualifications

Requirements Include:

  • B.S. degree in Civil or Structural engineering
  • M.S. degree preferred.
  • Licensed California Professional Engineer (PE) required.
  • Licensed California Structural Engineer (SE) highly desirable
  • 15+ or more years of experience
  • Experience with DSA and OSHPD is a plus!
  • Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain and grow Client relationships in Northern California
