Your new role - QA Tech Lead
Location: On-site in Düsseldorf or remote in Germany
You’ll be joining our Engineering department, a dynamic environment where cross-functional development teams drive continuous improvements, build new features, and develop cutting-edge products. Supporting this innovation, our Product Support, QA, and SRE teams work alongside our Product, People, and Leadership teams - including our Director/Architect and VP of Engineering - to tackle new challenges, push the boundaries of technology, and ensure our products remain stable, innovative, and customer-centric. Together, we’re committed to delivering excellence and shaping the future of our industry.

  Your responsibilities will include

  • Technical Leadership – Define and drive testing and automation strategies that align with product and engineering goals.
  • Test Strategy & Planning – Create scalable test plans and automation frameworks that increase efficiency and quality.
  • Quality Process Improvements – Continuously refine QA processes using industry best practices to improve defect detection and speed up release cycles.
  • Mentorship & Team Development – Coach and mentor QA engineers, fostering a strong quality-focused mindset and career growth.
  • Collaboration – Work closely with Engineering, Product, and SRE to integrate QA practices into the development lifecycle.
  • Test Automation & Execution – Lead development of automated test suites for both functional and non-functional testing, including performance and API testing.
  • Defect Management & Reporting – Oversee efficient defect resolution processes, including root cause analysis and clear reporting.
  • Stakeholder Communication – Act as QA’s voice in technical discussions, planning, and risk assessments.

About you

  • Experience & Leadership – 5+ years in software quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role
  • Test Automation Tools – Deep knowledge of frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
  • QA Methodologies – Expert in software testing practices, automation, performance and API testing.
  • DevOps & CI/CD – Strong understanding of CI/CD, SDLC, and agile development principles.
  • Cloud-Based Testing – Hands-on experience with cloud-based testing environments and practices.
  • Programming Skills – Strong scripting or coding skills for test automation (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java).
  • Tools Familiarity – Comfortable with defect tracking systems, test management tools, and reporting dashboards.
  • Certifications – ISTQB or equivalent certification is a plus.
  • Soft Skills – Strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills
