Position Overview 

We are currently seeking part-time Real Estate Instructors to instruct for one of Colibri Group’s esteemed brands – Allied Real Estate Schools. The instructor will use the content and  course materials provided to them to teach any courses. Our instructors help students understand material by leading insightful lessons, providing real-world examples, and answering questions. The instructor will also assist our California Spanish speaking students within our online courses. The instructor will help students understand material by replying to emailed content questions. 


This is a part-time hourly position. Classes can be scheduled in the mornings, evenings, and weekends, and the length of each class is dictated based on the number of required hours. The instructor is paid an hourly rate based on the number of hours in the class. The online support hours will fluctuate, with an estimated time commitment of 2-10 hours per week.  


Position Requirements & Major Responsibilities 
  • Instruct assigned courses according to the course plan  
  • Provide all documentation and perform all duties required to become a recognized instructor or Instructor of Record 
  • Actively engage with students within the livestream course 
  • Provide support in response to student email, voicemail, and discussion board inquiries within 1 business day – though ideally within 24 hours 
  • Utilize strong understanding with webinar/livestreaming technology and online instruction  
  • Recommend strategies for success and assist students in meeting course objectives  
  • Complete the 16-hour CDEI (Certified Distance Education Instructor) designation through IDECC (International Distance Education Certification Center – www.IDECC.org) within 4 months of acceptance of this contract, and Instructor will keep the designation current by taking the CDEI renewal course every three years. Costs for acquisition and renewal are reimbursed by the school.   
  • Allow name and signature to be used on course completion certificates 
  • Participate in faculty curriculum and ad-hoc meetings 
  • File proper paperwork with the state commission for school approvals and renewals   


Qualifications
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a licensed real estate salesperson, broker, or attorney required. 
  • Be fluent in both Spanish and English 
  • Active real estate license (salesperson or broker) required. 
  • DREI certification preferred.  
  • Previous instruction and/or training experience strongly preferred 
  • Flexibility to teach weekend and evening classes. 
  • Computer with an HD camera and microphone required. 
  • Quiet, dedicated office space with strong internet connection required. 
  • Ability to instruct in an onsite classroom and via Zoom required.
