Community Manager
5W is seeking an outgoing, creative Community Manager to join our growing digital marketing agency. This individual has a pulse of what’s happening in the world and can translate that into strategic value for brands and their customers. This role will be on the front lines of connecting and communicating with our clients’ fans and followers and should be skilled at answering questions and making sure people feel heard. We’re looking for someone with talent for spotting relevant conversations and finding natural ways to join the discussion, while naturally adapting your tone to different brands, moments and audiences.

Listen to the signals across social media to understand how it can translate into brand value through content and community development

Build sense of community by monitoring and engaging with assigned brands’ followers on owned and unowned platforms

Monitor conversation to pitch relevant topics, themes and moments where brands can engage

Monitor competitive brands’ conversation for relevant ways brands can engage

Answer frequently asked questions and update FAQs based on insights and feedback

Build relationships with customers, potential customers, industry professionals, and journalists in smart, creative ways

Collaborate with the integrated communications teams to align and amplify strategies

Regularly report on health and impact of communities with relevant insights and recommendations
-
Escalate community issues and challenges to team/clients in thoughtful, timely ways

Be an expert voice on community management strategy, trends and innovations

Develop content calendars and work with the creative team to create content that will resonate for the audience and the brand

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or relevant field
-
1-2 years of experience in social media, community management or relevant field
-
Experience successfully engaging with online communities

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong working knowledge of social media for management of brands

Aptitude for identifying, tracking and interpreting community/social engagement metrics

Obsession with detail, and an ability to proactively manage your time

Natural curiosity for trends and social / customer behavior

NYC Salary Range: $55K-$65k
