Overview:The Manager Government Affairs oversees interactions with government entities at various levels to enhance communication strategies, promote grassroots support, and foster connections between Cone Health executives and public officials, working closely with the director. This role involves tracking legislative changes, backing advocacy initiatives, and handling concerns raised by government representatives and constituents, as a form of assistance to the primary director.Responsibilities:Oversees the communication strategy within the organization to keep government officials and Cone Health employees informed on important matters, creating written content and materials to uphold clear and uniform messaging for fostering strong partnerships.Implements and develops a bottom-up advocacy network involving both leaders and employees, nurturing personal connections with elected representatives, and supporting influential advocacy campaigns to enhance the organization's ability to shape policy outcomes.Facilitates the identification of prospects and coordinates gatherings/excursions connecting representatives from the organization with governmental figures, influencers, and policy influencers. Manages the planning and communication aspects to guarantee effective involvement and the establishment of relationships.Monitors policy and regulatory changes across various governmental tiers to offer evaluations aiding in strategic choices and advocacy endeavors.Collaborates with in-house team members to engage in advocacy efforts at various governmental tiers, cultivating trustworthy connections with pertinent stakeholders and groups to promote cooperation within industry associations.Conducts research and works towards finding solutions for problems faced by elected officials and their constituents.Carries out additional tasks as required.Qualifications:EDUCATION:Required:• Bachelor's DegreeEXPERIENCE:Required: 2 YearsLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIREDRequired:Must be eligible to register as a lobbyist
