Leading Ortho Medical Practice seeks Industry Professional to lead and manage growing teamExperience with out of network and ambulatory location requiredThe Medical Billing Manager leads and oversees the entire billing and revenue cycle to ensure accurate and timely reimbursements. This role is responsible for managing the billing team, developing and enforcing billing and coding policies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and payer requirements. The manager analyzes revenue metrics, resolves claim denials, and continuously improves billing operations. By collaborating with clinical staff, insurance companies, and patients, the Medical Billing Manager supports the financial health of the organization and the delivery of high-quality patient care.• *Duties and Responsibilities:**- Supervise and manage the medical billing team, including recruitment, training, and performance management.- Oversee the full revenue cycle, including patient registration, insurance verification, charge capture, billing, payment posting, and collections, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.- Track and analyze performance metrics such as AR days, denial rates, and collections, and implement strategies to enhance revenue cycle efficiency.- Ensure all billing processes are completed on time and accurately.- Review billing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.- Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain compliance with billing regulations.- Work with other departments to resolve billing issues and enhance processes.- Stay informed of industry trends and best practices in medical billing.- Manage insurance billing, ensuring proper application of payments from patients, insurance, and others.- Prepare weekly and monthly billing reports, including accounts pending diagnosis and late charges.- Identify best practices to improve processes, customer service, and overall efficiency.- Address escalated concerns from patients, attorneys, clinical locations, insurance carriers, and agents.- Troubleshoot and resolve process or payer-related issues as needed.- Oversee daily operations of collection units and adjust workloads accordingly.- Assist staff in resolving unresolved account and payer issues.- Perform other duties as assigned by management.• *Qualifications:**- At least 5 years of experience in medical billing, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.- Strong knowledge of medical billing regulations and procedures.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Proven ability to lead and prioritize in a team environment.- Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.- Proficient in Microsoft Office and billing software.- Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.- Strong communication skills with diverse individuals at all levels.
