Chemonics International is seeking a Consolidation Advisor. The Consolidation advisor leads the monthly consolidation of subsidiary financial statements for Chemonics’ global network of subsidiary entities. The advisor reconciles eliminating intercompany balances. They lead process improvement and supports audit efforts. They are the GAAP and IFRS subject matter expert for inter-company accounting compliance. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leads the collection and consolidation of monthly financial data from subsidiaries. Develops monthly consolidation timetables. Analyzes consolidated results to ensure accuracy and proper elimination of inter and intra-company accounts. Identifies and reconciles discrepancies
  • Supports the Financial Planning and Analysis team in preparation of the internal and unaudited consolidated financial statements
  • Supports the Controller in preparation of annual GAAP consolidated financial statements
  • Subject matter expert for U.S. GAAP and IFRS Financial Accounting and Reporting compliance
  • In collaboration with other Finance and accounting teams, leads the month-end close and monthly consolidation process with the company’s global legal entities
  • Prepares and disseminates key reports to company leadership and business line accounting and finance teams
  • Strategically contributes to process improvement initiatives for process and system implementations, upgrades, and optimization
  • Performs balance sheet analytics, as needed
  • Leads inter-company finance and accounting continuous process improvement initiatives
  • Supports Controller with internal and external audit requests
  • Assists in special projects, as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting required
  • 8+ years accounting experience required; public accounting experience preferred
  • CPA preferred, but not required
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365, SAP By Design, and PROCAS preferred
  • Knowledge of finance & accounting business processes such as close and consolidations, internal and external financial reporting, and account reconciliations
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment across multiple levels of management
  • Exceptional planning, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS required
  • Knowledge of USG finance and accounting standards preferred, Knowledge of USAID highly preferred

The Salary Range for this position is expected to be: $129,600 - $155,520.

An employee’s pay position will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs.
