Consumer Banking Training Specialist

Job Summary and Opportunity:

As a Training Support Specialist, you are the advocate for the development in our employees and ensuring we are working together effectively and efficiently to provide a 5-star experience to our customers within our institution. We take pride in obsessing over our customers which starts with investing in the care and development of our own employees.
Responsibilities:
  • Gain deep knowledge and expertise within each business line to understand and apply appropriate procedures and regulations.
  • Build strong relationships with all teams within the business line to ensure we establish a relationship in which all teams within the business line are working efficiently and uniformly
  • Create and deliver self-paced training modules
  • Create and track success measures post-training
  • Assist in managing all online repositories that are used as resources for all customer facing roles
  • Provide real time support via internal communication channels
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years' in a banking customer service position
  • 1+ year's in a training or coaching environment
  • Impressive communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Adequate knowledge of learning management systems and web delivery tools
  • Experience with e-learning platforms
  • Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments
  • Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)
  • Extensive knowledge of instructional design theory and implementation
  • Collaborate with management to identify company training needs
  • Schedule appropriate training sessions
  • Plan and implement an effective training curriculum
  • Prepare hard copy training materials such as module summaries, videos, and presentations
  • Train and guide new employees
  • Develop monitoring systems to ensure that all employees are performing job responsibilities according to training
  • Ability to effectively describe complicated ideas to difference audiences
  • Highly organized, proficient in time management, and possess excellent public speaking skills
  • Assess instructional effectiveness and determine the impact of training on employee skills and KPIs
  • Maintain updated curriculum database and training records
  • Research and recommend new training methods, like gamification
