Content Strategist, Office of the CEO (NY or SF)

We’re leaders in the membership space with 250,000+ active creators and over $3.5 billion paid directly to creators on our platform. Our team is building tools to optimize the creator-to-fan relationship, including native video, enhanced podcasting features, improved creation tools, and new community experiences. We’re continuing to invest heavily in building the most talented team in the Creator Economy and are looking for a Content Strategist, Office of the CEO to support our mission.

This role is based in New York or San Francisco and open to those who are able to be in-office 2 days per week on a hybrid work model.

About the Role

What you will do:

• Learn the CEO’s voice 
• Ensure that the CEO is on top of his communications game by drafting written content elevating the CEO’s profile:
• Externally. Produce engaging industry commentary, drafting email responses, and partnering with our video teams in producing socials content
• Internally. Craft internal communications, across both proactive and responsive messaging as part of realizing our internal communications strategy, including company-wide messages, Q&A prep, and presentations
• Plan and coordinate virtual and in person events, meetings, and offsites
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders both internally and externally to Patreon
• Partner with Jack’s Executive Assistant and Chief of Staff as needed to prepare agendas, meeting materials, track action items, and program manage follow ups
• Execute on other special projects under the Office of the CEO as needed

About You

Skills and experience you possess:

• 4+ years of experience in content marketing, copywriting or ghost writing
• You possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and have a track record of producing compelling content
• You are a strong storyteller and craft engaging narratives. You understand how to organize information in a manner that is compelling to your audience
• You have a passion for writing, and can understand nuances across audiences and tailoring written content for a variety of internal and external channels (across both digital and traditional media) and audience
• You are extremely detail oriented, and highly organized – you are able to manage multiple initiatives and maintain a high craft bar to deliver them all
• You effectively collaborate cross functionally with partners across the company including other executives, internal communications, and marketing
• You think big picture strategic, and can create a shared understanding of how things together towards a larger goal
• You have a bias towards action – you’re motivated to build and create
• Past experience developing style guides is a plus
• Bonus: You have experience with producing content for and running owned channels (social media, YouTube, etc.)
