This position is responsible for the remote monitoring, operation, and analysis of CNX production and midstream assets. The Control Room Operator remotely monitors and communicates to the appropriate entity the status of well site equipment, compressor stations, gas quality and blending and is also responsible for receiving and responding to emergency calls from landowners, regulatory agencies, law enforcement, emergency services and CNX personnel. The individual must be able to make decisions to safely operate the field and properly communicate these decisions to the contractor workforce as well as CNX Resources employees and management.

Target Responsibilities:
  • Receive emergency calls for the company and follow emergency procedures.
  • Monitor weather for all operational areas and communicate any issues or concerns.
  • Recognize trouble spots in flow or pressure and take corrective action.
  • Monitor/control oil and gas wells and production systems remotely, including performing emergency corrective action as required.
  • Monitor/record all key operational parameters and report any anomalies in a timely manner, with particular attention to production rates, pressures, alarms and non-productive times.
  • Maintain appropriate records and documents of daily activities and submit reports as required.
  • Work effectively in a team environment to monitor, resolve and escalate operational and safety issues.
  • Monitor SCADA and email alarms and take appropriate corrective action.
  • Report potential process safety issues and operational optimizations to the supervisor and appropriate personnel.
  • Understand and follow company standards, operating procedures and recommended practices.
  • Monitor SCADA system health including communications with remote devices. Identify missing data and SCADA polling issues.
  • Monitor gas volumes going to different sales taps and compare with nominations. Properly communicate issues or concerns with the Supervisor and Gas Marketing team.
  • Work closely with Operations, Production, Midstream, Water and Gas Marketing teams.
  • Cross-train with the Midstream Desk for control room flexibility and to achieve a better understanding of the complete system to improve operational value and decision-making.
Minimum Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of Production or Midstream operations experience.
  • Working knowledge of gas well pads, gas production equipment, compressor stations and pipeline systems.
  • Working knowledge of SCADA control systems.
  • Must be able to work a 12-hour shift.
  • Must be able to work a 4 on / 4 off schedule. Rotates day and night shift every 2 hitches (16 days).
  • Must be willing to cover shifts when needed.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft programs such as Excel, Outlook, OneNote, Teams and Word.
