Starting Pay: $35 DOE
Who we need:
The Lead HVAC Maintenance Technician will install, maintain, and repair heating and cooling systems, as well as install ventilation fans. This role is responsible for overseeing air quality systems from installation to end-of-life, executing maintenance, warranty, and emergency repairs. Additionally, this position ensures the quality and training of other maintenance personnel who may be HVAC certified. The technician must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and customer-focused. This role also involves general facility maintenance tasks as assigned, along with acting as the contact for all emergency situations. Safety, security of employees, and protection of company assets are priorities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology, or a relevant field is preferred.
- A minimum of 4-5 years’ of related experience.
- Must be a Journeyman Level HVAC Technician (minimum requirements 6 years in the field)
- In-depth knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques.
- Available to work overtime, including weekends, holidays, and evenings as required.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Must have a fingerprint clearance card issued by the AZ Department of Public Safety or eligible to receive one within eight (8) weeks of hire.
- Must have reliable transportation, valid AZ Driver’s License with state minimum insurance coverage, and ability to meet and maintain Copa Health’s acceptable driving requirements.
JOB SUMMARY
- Install, maintain, and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
- Identify maintenance risks on equipment.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
- Clean, adjust, and repair systems, and perform warranty services.
- Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
- Provide HVAC technical direction, repairs, and on-the-job training for other HVAC-certified technicians.
- Keep daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
- Ensure compliance with appliance standards and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Comply with service standards, work instructions, and customer requirements.
- Perform general facility maintenance, including basic plumbing, electrical, and drywall repair.
- Assist with customer queries.
- Adhere to all agency policies, licensure, and training requirements.
- Ensure compliance with EPA regulations for all current and new flammable refrigerants, including keeping up-to-date with required certifications and proper handling procedures. Installing, maintaining, and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
- To ensure compliance & adequate services, additional job duties may be required to meet the needs of the program and or department.
