How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

Position Objective:
Research, write, proofread and edit persuasive copy for Delta Vacations marketing promotions, including printed materials, social media, email, video and websites. Ensure adherence to Delta Vacations brand and Department of Transportation (DOT) standards. Also develop and deliver communications for internal use.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Regularly attend and participate in project kickoff and team meetings.
  • Work collaboratively with creative team, Partnership Marketing and Marketing Project Managers to ensure information is accurate and complete for all Delta Vacations marketing, sales, and partnership advertising materials.
  • Accustomed to taking creative direction.
  • Write and edit for all destination, partner, and marketing promotions.
  • Strong attention to detail necessary.
  • Proofreading and fact-checking required when needed to ensure compliance with Delta Vacations copy standards, departmental procedures, and applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Ensure that text is well written, grammatically correct for a range of different media channels, including web, pricing, video, and email.
  • Resolve queries and work collaboratively with writers, marketing project managers, and project owners.
  • Develop and maintain an awareness of Delta Vacations products and experiences.
  • Develop thorough understanding of the Delta Vacations brand, Delta Air Lines brand and partner brands, and use appropriate brand voice and style to address consumer-facing and B2B audiences for a variety of media channels.
  • Ensure content is aligned with the creative brief, brand personas and stages of the customers journey.
  • Ensure all copy is optimized for SEO; continually seek out best practices for copywriting in SEO.
  • Write, proofread and fact-check hotel offers and promotional deals grids; Delta Vacations destination, hotels and activity descriptions; and copy content for B2B and consumer emails.
  • Manage multiple projects with short deadlines.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned, which may include cross-utilization within the department or with other departments
  • Prepare presentations, including presenting Marketing concepts that support Delta Vacations business initiatives

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
