IT Technical Project Specialist

The IT Technical Project Specialist is a highly technical and hands-on position. This position is responsible for the in-depth technical design and implementation of cloud and on-premises IT projects for our current and prospective clients. This is a technical role for a person with experience in designing and troubleshooting Windows and Cloud based networks and has experience with advanced networking such as designing and troubleshooting VLANs, routers and all network security and routing issues. This position will design and install computer networks, perform Microsoft 365 cloud migrations, Microsoft Teams and SharePoint implementations, Azure AD configuration, Microsoft security products, VDI, Network devices, mobile device management and cloud backup solutions.

    • Assist with the development of the business case for client technology solutions and design and propose client technology solutions from CorCystems cloud and on-premises offerings.
    • Evaluate and recommend new IT technology products and solutions that will help clients increase efficiency, scalability, productivity and enhance security.
    • Assist with constructing detailed project plans with Project Manager to ensure successful project implementation.
    • Design and Implementation of cloud and on-premises solutions with other members of the Proactive Team
    • Design and implement computer network technologies such as VLANs and security such as routers and firewalls.
    • Troubleshoot advanced network issues and resolve high level technical issues such as data routing and firewalls.
    • Research best practices for design, implementation, and security for cloud solutions that CorCystems provides.
    • Communication with clients as required: keeping them informed of project progress, incident progress, notifying them of impending changes, or agreed outages.
    • Support for client computer networks including business related technologies including Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, Remote Access usage, VOIP, mobile devices, etc.
    • Support disaster recovery backup solutions.
    • Work with vendors/partners as needed to resolve client issues.
    • Provide escalated support to other team members on both the proactive and reactive teams.
    • Provide detailed documentation and explain resolutions for escalated issues.
    • Provide product training to all team members on the cloud solutions that we implement for our clients

Qualifications, Education and Experience:

  • Strong ability to design computer networks and business computing solutions
  • Strong understanding of LAN and WAN technologies including routing and security
  • Interpersonal skills: such as telephony skills, communication skills, active listening, and customer-care.
  • Comfortably handle technical issues.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly.
  • Ability to de-escalate situations
  • Understanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide IT services.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment.
  • BA/BS, preferably in computer science or a related field.
  • 1+ year of customer service experience.
  • Ability to de-escalate situations
