Then apply and be a part of something truly revolutionary at Core Scientific.TitleSr. Site Reliability EngineerReports ToSite Reliability Engineering ManagerResponsibilities:• Define, capture, and interpret product/system requirements• Build, integrate, test, monitor and deploy code across cloud and on-premises infrastructure• Write plans, coordinate, and deploy applications via automation• Write documentation to share knowledge with the team• Drive secure, immutable infrastructure through infrastructure as code, thoughtful security practices and common orchestration tools• Drive best practices across the Site Reliability Engineering team• Foster open, respectful, and professional communication directly within the team as well as with co-workers/ teammates and leaders across the organization.• Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications• 5+ years’ experience in SRE, DevOps, and/or Infrastructure Engineering• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; team player• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills• Ability to define, capture, interpret product/system requirements• Strong experience using Infrastructure as Code, Configuration Management, & Orchestration tools – we use mostly Terraform, Helm, Kustomize, and Ansible• Strong understanding of cloud environments – we use AWS, but experience in other clouds is also a plus• Strong experience with Kubernetes and virtualization• Strong experience with build and release management – we primarily use Github Actions, makefiles, and Python scripts• Strong experience with telemetry – metrics, logs, traces, writing monitors• Intermediate scripting ability (Bash, Python, Make)• Basic networking knowledge; OSI model, TCP/UDP, DHCP, DNS, routing, and HTTPWork EnvironmentThis job operates in a remote office and generally uses laptop computers and smartphones.Position Type/ Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. You are expected to be available generally around U.S. time zones. You will be part of an on-call rotation. The current rotation is 1 week every 5 weeks.TravelOn rare occasions, you may be invited to attend off-site team building and planning.
