Revenue Operations Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Revenue Operations Accountant to join our growing team at Coretek in Farmington Hills. This role is essential to maintaining the integrity of our financial operations, ensuring compliance with revenue recognition standards, and supporting our growth as a leading Microsoft Azure Expert MSP. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, innovative tech environment, bringing a proactive approach to financial processes, critical thinking skills, and fresh ideas to enhance operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the general ledger and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Create billing and revenue recognition schedules in line with ASC 606 and GAAP compliance.
  • Prepare invoices for managed services revenue and Microsoft consumption, including revenue recognition processes.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process, contributing to the financial planning cycle.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial processes and internal controls.
  • Actively contribute new ideas and approaches to enhance financial operations and efficiency.
  • Oversee sales and use tax filings using Avalara, ensuring compliance across multiple states.
  • Assist with miscellaneous accounting procedures, including fixed assets accounting and depreciation management.
  • Collaborate with external accountants and prepare for internal and external audits.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, including Salesforce, PSA, Billing Central, Excel, Microsoft Word, and Power BI.
  • Strong understanding of revenue recognition (ASC 606), GAAP compliance, and fixed assets accounting.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams, external auditors, and vendors.
  • CPA certification is preferred but not required.
