Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic Director, Campus Talent Acquisition to lead our efforts in attracting, engaging, and hiring top-tier early careers talent. This role will be pivotal in building and executing comprehensive campus recruiting strategies that align with our company’s objective of becoming one of the highest performing institutional investors in the world.

As a Director, Campus Talent Acquisition, you will lead the development of competitive and innovative strategies for attracting world-class, diverse talent to CPP Investments.  The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of campus recruiting trends, exceptional relationship-building skills, and a passion for developing future leaders.  Utilizing your advanced leadership skills, you will lead a team of talent professionals in the design, development, and delivery of our continuously evolving recruitment practices. You will report to the Managing Director, Talent Acquisition.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive campus talent acquisition strategy that is aligned with the organization's long-term goals and objectives, forecasting future talent needs, and identifying strategic hiring initiatives.
  • Review existing campus partnerships to identify and prioritize target universities, colleges, and educational institutions to build a robust pipeline of diverse candidates.
  • Build relationships across the enterprise to understand each departments early talent needs.
  • Review metrics and analytics to measure the effectiveness of camps talent acquisition initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and leading initiatives to optimize recruitment processes and outcomes.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the campus recruitment team to achieve recruitment targets.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture focused on continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Streamline and enhance campus recruitment processes to ensure efficiency, scalability, and a positive candidate experience.
  • Utilize applicant tracking system; and implement automation tools to create more efficiency across the team.
  • Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership on recruitment progress challenges, and opportunities.
  • Promote and implement diversity and inclusion initiatives within campus recruiting strategies.

Qualifications

  • Relevant university or college graduate with commitment to continued learning.
  • 10+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition; preference for some exposure to building campus programs; corporate talent acquisition experience would also be an asset.
  • Experience with financial institutions, investment firms, or asset management would be an asset.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful campus recruitment or corporate talent acquisition strategies.
  • Experience managing and leading a team of direct reports including giving robust feedback, development, and performance conversations.
  • Strong understanding of campus recruiting trends and student engagement strategies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Strategic thinker with strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and automation tools.
  • Experience using Workday would be an asset.
  • Ability to analyze data and metrics to drive decision-making and improve recruitment processes.
