Job Summary
Flight School is looking for a Creative Technology Director to lead our development team. We are interested in a results-oriented creative technologist. You will be consulting with internal departments and clients to design creative technical solutions that address our needs, develop enhanced and interactive user-experiences (VR, AR, MR and web), and demonstrate prototypes. An outstanding candidate will be someone who can transform developmental needs into intuitive, effective, and user-friendly digital experiences. We are looking for someone who is excited about being a part of a small, creative team that tackles new challenges on every project. Responsibilities
• Evaluate the creative requirements of a project, determine their technical implications, and make high-impact operational decisions. Examples include the virtual production techniques employed, the adoption of third-party tools vs. proprietary development, and the selection of specific technical methodologies.
• Work with production to plan project scope, schedule and team needs.
• Mentor, lead and help grow our development team. Provide clear direction to the team, setting clear objectives and monitoring the process, progress and results.
• Problem-solve with existing software and hardware products along with custom solutions.
• Be passionate about creative technologies, both current and new tech across multiple fields of multimedia and software development.
Qualifications
• 5+ years programming experience in bespoke interactive, LBE, live activations.
• Prior management experience.
• Experience working in Unity and/or Unreal.
• Enthusiasm for working on a wide variety of tasks.
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.
• Possess a positive attitude with the ability to work in a collaborative environment, interacting successfully with artists, producers and others during development cycle.
• Self-motivated and independent worker. Must take initiative in handling above duties and additional tasks which will aid the function of the organization.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
