We are seeking a strategic and technically skilled Business Intelligence Manager to lead the development and execution of our business intelligence, data architecture, and analytics initiatives across our professional services platform. This is a hands-on role that will be instrumental in developing our data-driven decision-making capabilities to support our accounting firm clients and internal operations. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader who can bridge business needs with innovative data solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Architecture & Infrastructure
Manage the data warehouse strategy, ETL pipelines, and integrations with core platforms both in our firms and within our corporate environment, such as ERP systems, CRMs, Practice Management, HRIS, and more.
Build robust and coherent data models for analytics and FP&A use cases.
Guide the selection and deployment of modern data tools, ensuring interoperability and scalability.
Reporting & Analytics
Oversee the design, development, and delivery of BI dashboards and reporting tools for internal teams.
Partner with FP&A and finance teams to develop financial reporting models and dashboards to identify trends and opportunities to improve financial performance and client satisfaction
Conduct ad-hoc analyses and reports to help business teams make data-driven decisions.
Recommend strategies and methodologies for solving business problems using statistical modeling, optimization, and machine learning.
Lead the integration and adoption of BI platforms such as Domo, Power BI, Tableau, Sigma, or other similar platforms.
Data Governance
Establish data governance frameworks, ensuring data quality, integrity, security, and compliance.
Partner with stakeholders to identify critical metrics and KPIs and establish consistent measurement methodologies.
Identify gaps in data quality and develop plans to remediate them with the relevant teams.
Collaboration & Leadership
Design, implement, and lead end-to-end projects, addressing complex or ambiguous business problems.
Serve as a strategic partner to Finance, Operations, HR, and Client Service leaders.
Educate business leaders and end users on the power of data and analytics.
Foster a data-driven culture throughout the organization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or related field.
5+ years of experience in data analytics, BI, or data engineering roles.
Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, Sigma, or similar tools
Proficiency with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python or similar) to process data for modeling
Strong business acumen and ability to communicate data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Proven track record of building and scaling data solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in professional services or consulting environments; familiarity with the accounting industry is a strong plus.
Experience managing a team of data or BI analysts.
Experience with Spark, EMR, Airflow, or other big data processing technologies.
This position operates as part of a US East Coast-based team, with typical working hours aligning with EST to facilitate effective collaboration. We offer flexibility in managing your schedule to maintain a healthy work-life balance while meeting business needs.
We are excited to invite talented individuals to join our dynamic team! This position offers a competitive salary range of $125,000.00 - $160,000.00 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
