Location

This is a fully remote position within the UK or France. You should be able to easily join one of our hubs from time to time. Our hubs are Paris, London, and New-York.

Summary

Cryptio is looking for a lead software engineer interested in working on crypto / finance / accounting / reconciliation related products.

You will join a team of talented engineers working on Cryptio’s Data & Reconciliation API. This API-only product is central to our mission of enabling large-scale users to reconcile our proprietary on-chain datasets with their internal data seamlessly. You’ll play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining a high-performance, scalable system that ensures accuracy, speed, and reliability for enterprise-level use cases.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of the Data & Reconciliation API

  • Drive architectural decisions to ensure scalability, reliability, and security, supporting the rapid growth of Cryptio’s integration capabilities

  • Work with large-scale data pipelines, optimising reconciliation workflows for speed and accuracy

  • Oversee code quality by conducting code reviews, providing feedback, and ensuring adherence to best practices

  • Work closely with product and engineering leadership to align data and reconciliation projects with Cryptio’s strategic goals

  • Monitor and troubleshoot user issues, proactively implementing improvements

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering

  • Pro-efficient in Rust, ability to write and ship production-grade code

  • Pro-efficient with PostgreSQL, ability to design database schemas and write complex queries

  • Some experience working with data-heavy products

  • Some experience optimising systems: caching, indexing, query optimisation, profiling…

  • Impeccable spoken and written English

  • Exceptional communication skills and a passion for mentoring and developing engineering talent

  • Thriving when working with others - collaboration is paramount for this role

  • An analytical mindset, a passion for solving complex problems, and an interest in the crypto and fintech industry
