Joint Exercise Planner / Financial Specialist

For nearly 50 years, CSA has delivered integrated technology and operational support services to meet the defense and federal sector's most complex enterprise needs. CSA is seeking an Exercise Planner with Joint Exercise Financial experience to support United States Fleet Forces Command (USFFC) N357. In this role, you will assist in managing Joint Exercise Special Funds Administration for seven combatant commands and their Navy service components at USFFC located in Norfolk, VA.



How Your Role Will Make an Impact:
  • Assist in Joint Exercise Special Funds Administration for seven combatant commands and their Navy service components
  • Assist in the development, coordination, preparation and execution of Joint and Service exercises
  • Provide technical expertise in joint exercise planning and produce staff products in support
  • Produce, manage and coordinate the development of Flag Officer level staff briefing books
  • Produce correspondence and presentations; and prepare staff inputs, briefs, papers and/or other documentation as required
  • Provide trip reports to USFF N357 and the COR in accordance with standard trip report format


What You Will Need to Join Our Award-Winning Team:
  • Clearance: Active Secret clearance required
  • Three (3) years’ experience in the last five (5) years serving in a J5, N5 operational or exercise planning position on CCDR, NFC, NCC or Joint Force Commander staff
  • Knowledge and experience of the processes, procedures and requirements of the Joint Exercise Special Funds Administration for seven combatant commands and their Navy service components
  • Knowledge and experience with Joint and/or Navy planning processes
  • Knowledge and experience with processes, procedures and requirements of the Joint Training, Exercise, and Evaluation Program (JTEEP)  including non-headquarters joint exercise special funding
  • Knowledge and experience with the Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS)/Joint Training Tool (JTT) and its support to joint exercise planning
  • Knowledge and experience with the Joint Operation Planning Execution System (JOPES) and Time-Phased Force Deployment Data (TPFDD) usage
  • Knowledge and familiarity with operational level of war battle staff organization and processes; specifically, the Maritime Operations Center (MOC) and / or Joint Operations Center (JOC)


What Sets You Apart:
  • Five (5) years relevant experience within the last ten (10) years serving on a CCDR, NFC, NCC, Joint, senior flag, or Service staff (preferred)
