Position Summary
Minute Media is looking for a Data Scientist with a background working in the Adtech industry to join our Business Intelligence team. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and communication skills as well as experience in extracting actionable insights from large and complex data sets. A/B testing and performance analysis will be an essential part of their day-to-day.

What You'll Do

Work with large and complex data sets to solve a wide array of challenging problems using different analytical and statistical approaches.

Apply technical expertise with quantitative analysis, experimentation, and the presentation of data to develop strategies for our products.

Data Storytelling: You understand how to communicate, visualize and report your findings in a clear and unambiguous way to people with diverse degrees of numerical proficiency.

Develop a thorough understanding of company activities and products in order to provide actionable insights for optimizations and help the company make pure data-driven decisions

Help the team identify and prioritize projects with the highest value.

Initiate proactive as well as reactive data analysis, communicate conclusions and recommendations across relevant teams and the company (including company KPIs monitoring tools, A/B tests, new feature releases, cohort analysis, detected anomaly analysis, ad hoc research)
Requirements:
What You'll Have

Require a minimum of Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, Business Administration or Business Analytics

3+ years of experience as a Data Scientist (preferably in a digital media company)

Experience with SQL
-
Deep knowledge of Google Analytics and Big Query

Good statistical skills
-
Strategic thinking and problem-solving capability able to develop practical solutions with the big picture in mind

Passion for data and ability to transform numbers into a story

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to learn fast and be multitasking

Ability to work in a self-directed, fast-paced, results-oriented work environment
You have a Big Advantage if you have:

Exceptional SQL skills and always write optimized and easy-to-read queries

Knowledge of some other programming languages, specifically JavaScript

Experience in working in a digital media company

A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics or a related field
