About the role (your why) 

The Pricing and Commercial Lead is a results-oriented position playing a vital role in developing and implementing profitable pricing strategies for IP products and services.

What you’ll bring 

  • Strong understanding and application of financial modelling and analysis.
  • Understanding and application of change management competencies.
  • Understanding in evaluating proposals and opportunities, to offer knowledge and commercial judgments.
  • Strong knowledge of problem solving and analytical techniques
  • Understanding of financial principles and cost analysis techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex pricing concepts to diverse audiences

Responsibilities 

  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand product cost structures. Utilize this knowledge to develop and recommend profitable pricing models tailored to each product.
  • Proposal and contract expertise by collaborating with the sales team to craft compelling pricing narratives and terms within proposals for your assigned products. Collaborate with Datacom legal team to ensure product offerings and proposals are commercially sound.
  • Competitive monitoring and analysis by continuously monitor competitor pricing strategies and product offerings, identifying opportunities to maintain a competitive edge
  • Analyse pricing performance data for IP products, identifying potential areas for improvement and presenting data-driven insights to optimise pricing strategies.
  • Maintain commercial awareness and foster a culture of commercial awareness within IP, specifically relating to our product line. Educate and train internal teams on our product's pricing strategy and best practices.
