Senior Java Developer – Apache Flink & Streaming Applications

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Java Developer with hands-on experience in Apache Flink and real-time data streaming architectures. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Spring Boot, Apache Kafka, and microservices, with a strong understanding of CI/CD practices and deployment strategies in cloud environments such as AWS.

You will play a key role in designing and building scalable, event-driven applications that process high-volume data streams with low latency. This is an opportunity to contribute to the development of critical, high-performance backend systems that power real-time business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust Java-based microservices using Spring Boot and the broader Spring framework.
• Implement and optimize real-time data processing pipelines using Apache Flink, with strong command over key Flink components such as windows, triggers, and stream joins.
• Integrate with Apache Kafka for event sourcing, streaming ingestion, and reliable data delivery; apply best practices in Kafka topic design, partitioning, and security.
• Contribute to the design and deployment of microservices architectures in cloud environments, preferably AWS.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and agile development processes.
• Ensure the scalability, performance, and resilience of backend systems under high throughput conditions.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Strong proficiency in Java (8+), with expertise in Spring Boot and the Spring framework ecosystem.
• Recent, hands-on experience developing Apache Flink applications, including concepts like:
• Event time vs. processing time
• Windows (tumbling, sliding, session)
• Triggers and state management
• Stream joins and aggregations
• Solid working knowledge of Apache Kafka, including:
• Topic management
• Producer/consumer patterns
• Schema management
• Kafka security (authentication, authorization, encryption)
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, and automation scripting.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture, service discovery, and RESTful APIs.
• Exposure to deploying and managing Java-based applications on AWS (ECS, EKS, Lambda, or EC2) is a strong plus.
