Backend Engineer - Infra Engineering

As a Backend Engineer at Deel, your main responsibility will be to enhance our Infra Engineering team's capabilities by developing robust systems and tools. You'll handle approximately 65% engineering tasks and 35% DevOps work, which includes building and maintaining internal libraries, providing architectural guidance, and handling production incidents. Collaborating with over 10 teams will be a daily chore as you work to ensure our platform operates seamlessly and efficiently.

To thrive as a Backend Engineer at Deel, you need at least 5 years of experience in back-end development. Essential skills include knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm, experience with Node.js, as well as database management with Postgres/MySQL. Familiarity with messaging tools like RabbitMQ, NATS, or Kafka, plus strong problem-solving capabilities, are also key. A foundational understanding of CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tools is preferred.
