As a Junior Legal Counsel, you will support our global fintech and payments legal team, helping to navigate the complex regulatory landscape of financial services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, providing legal guidance on regulatory compliance, licensing, and product development while contributing to the development of scalable legal and compliance processes.
Responsibilities
Assist in legal research and provide guidance on financial regulations, payments, and fintech-related compliance matters.
Support drafting and reviewing agreements, including payment processing agreements, vendor contracts, and regulatory submissions.
Work closely with senior legal counsel on licensing applications, regulatory filings, and ensuring product compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
Partner with internal teams such as compliance, finance, and product to ensure legal and regulatory considerations are embedded in business operations.
Contribute to developing and implementing processes to streamline legal operations, contract negotiation, and compliance frameworks.
Help create and maintain legal playbooks, policies, and training materials for internal teams.
Desired Skills & Competencies
2-3 years of legal experience, ideally with exposure to fintech, payments, financial services, or regulatory compliance (in-house experience is a plus but not essential).
Strong research and analytical skills with an interest in payments and regulatory law.
Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
