Defense Travel System (DTS) Support

Responsibilities:
NOBLIS Fleet Introduction Project provides Pre-Commissioning Support to ship's Prospective Commanding Officer, Executive Officer and Department Heads for administrative and technical services. Fleet Introduction work is performed in an integrated support team environment that includes government and NOBLIS teams that work closely with PEO SHIPS, Supervisor of Shipbuilding and Repair, Shipbuilder, BUPERS, ISIC, Personnel Support Detachments, Regional Support Offices and the ship's crew members.

Candidate will provide DTS Travel support as follows:

  • Provide Temporary Additional Duty (TAD) travel support utilizing the Defense Travel System (DTS) in accordance with Joint Travel Regulations and DOD policy.
  • Facilitate the processing of cost Temporary Additional Duty (TAD) orders in DTS.
  • Process travel reservations in DTS. Make flight, rental car and lodging reservations as required. Assist in routing entitlement requests through ship's chain of command.
  • Process incoming personnel with Personnel Support Center (PSD) and complete travel for submission to Travel Support Center.
  • Processing travel in DTS and managing travel database.
  • Handle details privately that are FOUO in nature.
  • Draft and compose emails professionally.
  • Assist in other administrative areas within our group of Admin, Personnel, Travel and Security and other duties when required.
Qualifications:
  • Required Skills:
    • Minimum of four years of related clerical or project coordination experience.
    • Will need strong computer skills in the MS Office suite of software, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Access.
    • Candidate will provide programs, documentation and deliverables electronically during crew development through move-aboard.
    • Data Base management is required to operate and update the Fleet Introduction Plan of Action and Milestone Program, Lessons Learned, Security and Administrative databases.
    • Candidate will need to organize tasks and services and be able to work with competing priorities.
    • Effective written and oral communication skills are essential in this team orientated-customer service position.
    • Require the ability to obtain SECRET security clearance.
Desired skills and knowledge:
    • Experience with DTS as a Non-DTS Entry Agent (NDEA) or Organization Defense Travel Agent (ODTA), NSIPS and SALESFORCE and other travel applications.
    • Understanding of military terms and practices is beneficial.
    • Current secret clearance.

Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position
is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package for employees.
