Responsibilities:
Noblis MSD’s mission is to support the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCPD) in their missions to enable research, development, test and evaluation, acquisition, engineering, systems integration, in-service and fleet engineering with cybersecurity, comprehensive logistics, and life-cycle savings. Noblis MSD is seeking to hire a Software Developer or Computer Scientist.
Noblis MSD is seeking a Software Engineer / Computer Scientist to join a growing team supporting the design and development of critical U.S. Navy systems and technologies. The candidate will join a team of software/systems engineers and learn the systems and processes to contribute with the following:

Provide lifecycle software support following the Navy's Systems Engineering Process (SEP) and Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) standards.

Develop new and modified control system computer programs from software requirements.

Develop and/or modify code in Python, Java, and/or C/C++.

Develop and/or modify Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) using applicable development tools.

Develop software for embedded systems.
-
Develop and conduct software tests to demonstrate computer programs satisfy requirements.

Use software issue tracking tools/databases.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related degree and 3+ years work expeirence.

Knowledge/familiarity of Java and/or Python programming languages preferred.

Demonstrated understanding of object-oriented programming.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Motivated to learn new concepts and technologies.
- Familiarity with Agile Software Development.

Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package for employees.
