Summary

The Diversity Equity & Inclusion Program Director will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of DEI programming and initiatives that align with the organization's strategic objectives and goals. In this role, you will act as a subject-matter expert, working collaboratively across the organization to educate, engage and build momentum to deliver against company-wide objectives and work to enhance understanding and awareness of all DEI and related efforts. This role will report to the Vice President – Talent Management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops and reports on DEI priorities and identifies strategic solutions to positively impact DEI initiatives
  • Provides DEI program management, leads planning efforts of DE&I events, and creates the framework for initiatives and executes associated plans
  • Tracks, evaluates and monitors the progress and effectiveness of identified DEI initiatives and programs
  • Keeps current on emerging issues and trends in DEI and makes practical recommendations to improve our program
  • Supports the evolution of a DEI Council and/or Ambassador Program
  • Responsible for EEO-1 and AAP report preparation and filing
  • Partners with the Compensation team to manage the analysis of demographic data and key performance indicators
  • Collaborates with Talent Acquisition on sourcing and hiring strategies in order to attract a diverse workforce
  • Serves as principal resource to Employee Resource Group (ERG) community; works closely with ERG leaders in developing strategy for enhancing ERG structure and participation
  • Collects feedback from candidates, employees and leaders and reports out to management potential ways to improve the employee experience for under-represented groups
  • Partners with HR Business Partners to support each business unit with initiatives on retention and career development
  • Collaborates with the L&D team to design and implement employee surveys, scalable trainings, education and other programs
  • Provides recommendations for internal communications efforts that drive awareness and understanding of Verisign's commitment to DEI
  • Serves as liaison to ESG and Strategic Comms teams
  • Conducts research and provides program support/management as needed to various HR initiatives

Qualifications

  • BS / BA (preferably in HR, Business, or a related field) or equivalent experience
  • 12+ years DEI related program experience
  • Broad understanding of DEI principles; DEI Certification preferred
  • Expertise in analyzing data, developing insights that influence the strategy and lead to business results including excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Demonstrable track record of execution through program/project management principles
  • Results oriented with an ability to identify and track metrics of success while delivering results through others
  • Advanced relationship-management experience and consulting skills, with ability to lead, engage and build consensus across various levels of leaders
  • Skilled facilitator with demonstrated ability to have effective conversations with an executive audience while navigating difficult topics

If you live in CO, CA, NY, Washington State the annualized pay range for this role is $141,400 - $191,200.

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is noted above, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. Verisign offers a discretionary bonus which is based on individual and company performance, and certain roles may be eligible for discretionary stock awards.
