GameChanger by DICK’S Sporting Goods works to connect families via live video streaming of games, scorekeeping and team communication tools for more than half a million teams. Serving youth sports communities, our app is used to score and live stream millions of games each year. Join us for a 2024 internship where you can have an impact and grow your skills for the road that lies ahead.The product marketing intern will work closely with the Sr. Product Marketing Manager and Product Marketing Director, supporting the development of customer personas, user journeys and key programs in our emerging sports vertical.What You'll Do:• Work cross-functionally with product, data, marketing, partnerships, and creative teams to deliver key information that guides creative ideation and execution.• Immerse yourself in the nuances that motivate and energize our customers in order to translate and amplify the value of GameChanger.• Participate in weekly meetings that drive the product marketing and go-to-market (GTM) teams.• Receive mentorship from other GC teammates to guide you through your internship experience.• Learn how to contribute to a product driven, data first organization.• Work with great people, an awesome product, and lots of fun together along the way!Who You Are:• You have interest in learning how GTM teams make strategic decisions and execute excellently in order to show value to current and future users.• You enjoy digging into the details - data, insights, and research - in order to identify the most important problems we can solve for our customers.• You have an entrepreneurial spirit and are willing to advocate for, execute, and measure new ideas and ways of thinking.• You’re comfortable taking constructive feedback and dishing out real talk in order to move past blockers.• You are pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or an MBA in communications, marketing, tech, sports industry or a related field.• You are organized, curious, and proactive team player who is results-oriented.• You’re a great communicator and enthusiastic about using technology to enhance people’s lives.What’s In It for You:• 10 weeks of experience working with a community-centered team on an app that is used by millions of people• $28 per hour to pay for your contributions• Hands-on learning• Working remotely with the option to work in a NYC office• Building industry connections with GC employees• MacBooks provided for the duration of the internship by GC• Building things as part of a brand new team. Due to said guidelines put in place, we are unable to hire in AK, DE, HI, IA, LA, MS, MT, OK, and SC.QUALIFICATIONS:What We’re Looking For In You:• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.• Interest and ability to learn new programming languages & tools.• Organized, curious, and proactive team player who is results-oriented.• Great communicator and enthusiastic about using technology to enhance people’s lives.• Big plus if you have experience developing with parts of our tech stack: iOS, Android, node.js, and more!What’s In It For You:• 10-12 weeks of experience working with a real product team on an app that is used by millions of people. - $40 per hour pay for your contributions.• Hands-on learning with a modern tech stack & architecture.• Working remotely, and enjoying your summer from wherever you choose to in the country.• Building industry connections with intern peers & GC employees, and a trip to NYC to our main office (assuming it is safe to do so).• MacBooks provided for the duration of the internship by GC.• Building things that get released.
