Director – Head of US Agency Lending Relationship Management

Business Overview:

The Agency Lending team acts as an agent for a variety of clients (sovereign wealth funds, asset managers, and other asset owners such as insurance companies and financial institutions) The main function is to lend securities for either cash collateral or securities as an agent for both custody clients and non-custody clients.

Responsibilities:

Lead the growth and performance of the US Agency Securities Lending business for BNP Paribas.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee and maintain client relationships in the region. Ensuring client satisfaction is a continuous focus.
• Proven experience in working with all levels of seniority across clients and prospects.
• Define and implement the local strategy for agency lending in coordination with the global head of the business.
• Identify and lead the sales effort with both in custody and in particular non-custody clients.
• Represent the business within the securities lending local industry at conferences and in the media.
• Maintain an appropriate risk and control governance framework in order to identify and appropriately manage risk.
• Active contributor to the agency lending management team.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10-15 years of Financial Services/Securities Lending experience
• Excellent leadership skills, willing to foster an environment of inclusion and development.
• Go getter attitude, effectively managing change.
• Demonstrates ethics and integrity.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve strategic business, financial performance and exemplary client satisfaction results

Preferred Qualifications:

• French language skills would be a benefit but not a requirement.
• MBA or CFA qualification

The expected starting salary range for this position in New York is between $230,000 to $280,000 annually. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.
