Director of Engineering

Your tasks

• Technical and disciplinary leadership of the R&D teams in our Technology Center covering diverse industries from Test & Measurement, Mobile Network Testing and Air Traffic Control
• Lead the R&D management team with a focus on cost & time lines, as well as ensuring high quality standards
• Drive innovation and strategic development of the Technology Center in alignment with the overall strategies for the addressed industries
• Best practice sharing, and alignment of development processes with R&S R&D sites worldwide
• Spearheading the industry in terms of technical trends, competitive performance and customer needs
• Supporting customer collaborations in the region
• Establishing a network with local industry and universities
• Heavily involved in the recruitment, selection and development of engineers
• Workforce and project planning

Your qualifications

• BSEE or equivalent
• Qualified professional and industry experience in the field of electronic Test & Measurement, Mobile Network Testing or Air Traffic Control applications and software development
• Ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new, complex topics in connection with a high level of comprehension
• Experience in representing at industry bodies & technical consortia
• More than five years of management experience as well as the ability to motivate R&D teams and to lead them confidently
• Strong communication skills
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 20%
