The Opportunity:

We're scaling our Sales Development team to amplify our growth and help IT and Technology leaders recognize Datadog’s impact in their digital transformation and migration to the cloud. That’s why we’re looking for a Director of Sales Development who can continue the growth of our Commercial Sales Development team. This role will be responsible for managing a team of Sales Development managers and their direct reports, providing coaching, mentoring, guidance and training for manager-level individuals. This role will impact one of the largest lines of business in the company through lead generation and sales pipeline volume, as well as help to mold and foster future AE's and leaders in our sales org. 

You Will:

  • Hre and train SDR managers and offer consistent coaching for existing team
  • Develop and monitor successful outbound prospecting strategies
  • Work alongside SDR managers to ensure CAE readiness for phase 3 SDRs
  • Analyze trends to identify areas for improvement and surface best practices
  • Forecast performance based on team productivity
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to execute on go-to-market strategies
  • Collaborate with Enablement to develop the SDR training curriculum
  • Collaborate with Recruiting and the People team to meet hiring goals

You Are:

  • Experienced in 12+ months in a leadership capacity at Datadog
  • Passionate about coaching leaders and/or individual contributors to success in their role
  • Able to demonstrate success exceeding personal and team quotas
  • Able to demonstrate a track record of success against all leading indicators/metrics
  • Experienced with Salesforce CRM

  • 5+ years in the tech industry

These considerations potentially can cause your compensation to vary.


The Diretor, Sales Development has an annual starting salary of $100,000.00, plus variable compensation and a competitive equity package.
