Director / Sr. Data Science Test and Verification Engineer

Our software has transformed how digital advertising and Connected TV approaches quality and fraud prevention technology. As we continue to win the hearts and minds of our customers worldwide, we are looking for a Director of Data QA Engineering to join Team Pixalate.

In this role you will be responsible for the integrity and precision of data across all our products. Come up with, create, maintain and enhance Data Verification processes across the organization. This is a new role for us, so you will help shape it.

Key Responsibilities:

Own the strategy and execution of data quality efforts across multiple teams
Analyze, profile and validate data to identify potential data quality issues while working with multiple teams to understand their data quality needs and help prioritize different efforts across the organization
Work with data scientists, data analysts, product managers, and engineers, and apply your expertise in quality assurance to deliver high-quality data-driven products
Continuous learning and deep understanding of the processes that generate the data to be QAed
Write testing plans and routines, manage regression testing processes for internal and external data pipelines, and be the point person for clearing data for release according to delivery specifications
Design, monitor and maintain QA reports, KPIs, and quality trends for the internal or external data systems
Perform in-depth exploration of causes, trends, opportunities for anomalies
Document, automate and enforce data quality, data integrity, and QA best practices
Develop scripts in SQL/Python/etc. to achieve data quality objectives

Minimum qualifications:

BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, Physics, or another quantitative field
3-5 years of professional experience in data quality assurance
Experience with the Agile development process preferred
Hands-on experience with at least one scripting language like Python
Hands-on experience with SQL
Experience with XML, JASON, CSV, etc. file format
Have excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
Be highly motivated and flexible
Effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred qualifications:

Familiarity with online advertising and advertising fraud
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with extreme attention to detail
A team player who can collaborate with engineers, product managers, marketers, and other cross-functional teams
Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance
Demonstrable ability to quickly understand new concepts
Experience with Amazon AWS, and UNIX CLI
Fluency in SQL and ability to write complex queries to extract large amounts of data
Fluency in Python (highly preferred), or other scripting language
