Senior Salesforce Administrator

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Systems Design, the Salesforce Developer will play a crucial role in the success of our Salesforce implementation. We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Salesforce Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Salesforce’s capabilities and be responsible for managing, configuring, and enhancing our Salesforce environment to support our organization’s evolving needs. As a Senior Salesforce Administrator you will play a key role in working with our product team on designing processes, implementing solutions, and driving system improvements while ensuring optimal performance and functionality of the Salesforce platform at scale.

The successful candidate will have a drive to function independently and own the configuration platform and best practices within our Salesforce instance. This can include efforts to optimize, deprecate, update, and/or develop configurations to satisfy requirements from our stakeholders. This will be done with scale, performance, and security as top of mind. 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day administration of the Salesforce environment, including user setup, roles, profiles, security settings, and permissions.

  • Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of Salesforce solutions to meet business needs, including custom objects, page layouts, flows, validation rules, and process automation.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Ensure data integrity by managing data imports, performing data audits, and updates.

  • Monitor and improve system performance, identifying opportunities for optimization and automation.

  • Oversee Salesforce releases, including testing new features, assessing impact on existing workflows, and implementing updates.

  • Creating and maintaining training materials and documentation as needed.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success, to ensure alignment and drive adoption of Salesforce best practices.

  • Production Support to troubleshoot and resolve system issues in a timely manner.

  • Work closely with our development team to ensure optimal approaches to solutions where configuration and code meet.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Salesforce Administrator.

  • Deep knowledge of Salesforce configuration capabilities, including custom objects, fields, flows, approval processes, and validation rules.

  • Experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and/or CPQ.

  • Proficiency with Salesforce data management tools such as Data Loader and Salesforce Inspector

  • Strong understanding of security settings and user management.

  • Ability to gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Experience managing Salesforce release cycles and assessing new features.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferences:

  • Salesforce Administrator Certification (ADM 201)

  • Experience with Gearset, deployment tooling, or other CI/CD tooling

What to expect in the first 30 days:

  • Familiarize yourself with the Salesforce team, instance, configurations, best practices, design principles, and deployment methodologies.  

  • Engage with Product teams for deliverables to prioritize projects

  • Introduce yourself to the cross functional and Salesforce team

What to expect in the first 90 days:

  • Dive Deep into the technology architecture to evaluate performance and analyze areas for improving our Salesforce platform

  • Engage with our Technical Architect and System Administrators on pain points to proactively identify solutions  

  • Continue to build on best practices to make our instance performant, secure, and scalable

What to expect in the first year:

  • Deliver to project requirements independently

  • Develop and grow your skill set and career as you become the subject matter expert in our Salesforce instance

  • Own the Salesforce ecosystem as it relates to third party tooling, integrations, dependencies, and other upstream/downstream systems.
