Sustainability and the Circular Economy are emerging priorities for DuPont and this focus is providing exciting new career opportunities for engineers and scientists who have a passion for sustainability and how it interfaces between technology, marketing, business, and external stakeholders.You will help the DuPont businesses create more sustainable products and operate more sustainably! The focus of your work will be to assist teams with product and business sustainability measurement and reporting. This will take the form of preparing Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) based results and assisting with other sustainability-oriented projects. Activities will also involve direct project management, interaction with internal teams and business leadership, and directly with customers and suppliers.Responsibilities:• Managing multiple concurrent consulting projects addressing Life Cycle Assessment, business sustainability projects, and/or corporate sustainability strategy,• Complete environmental life cycle assessment (LCA) modeling for DuPont’s products, processes and competitive alternatives. This includes the calculation of carbon footprints and other LCA metrics. Creating life cycle assessment models of a product or service in LCA software (i.e. SimaPro, LCA for Experts, etc.),• Directly support customers with LCA and technical sustainability expertise,• Analysis of manufacturing process data and developing life cycle inventories, including working with suppliers to gather data,• Working with Excel (or other data formats) to manipulate data and data structures,• Performing analysis on energy, water, waste, and emissions,• Preparing and presenting project results in PowerPoint or other formats,• Ensuring your projects adhere to scope, schedule, budget, and quality,• Effective teamwork with functional representatives across different specialties and regions,• Completing other sustainability-related projects as assigned, in support of the overall DuPont sustainability business plan, and• Travel may be required as necessary on a project-by-project basis.Qualifications:• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, science, or related field;• Self-motivated and organized; able to simultaneously work on multiple assignments and to work both independently as well as on teams• Experience in managing small to medium team projects• Knowledge and passion for sustainability, environmental systems, life cycle thinking, product sustainability, and/or climate change• Strong quantitative or technical background with an excellent aptitude for analytical thinking• Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and team skills due to high degree of interaction and engagement with personnel across many organizations and roles• Ability to articulate issues, give presentations, and prepare formal written reports• Strong customer focus• Demonstrated capability to complete precise and detailed LCA calculations, derive business-relevant conclusions and influence stakeholders• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, particularly Excel• Working knowledge of SimaPro, LCA for Experts, or other commercial LCA softwareJoin our Talent Community to stay connected with us!DuPont is an equal opportunity employer.
