Full/Part-time: Full-time

Pay Range: $100-$250/hour

Duration: 12 months or longer

Work schedule: 9/80, telework 2 days per week

Summary:

SSAI seeks a Earned Value Management (EVM) Subject Matter Expert to support work at Jet Propulsion Laboratory, (JPL) National Aeronautics and Space Administration, (NASA) in Pasadena, CA. The Cost Management Implementation Office (CMIO) requires an Earned Value Management (EVM) subject matter expert to conduct and lead various assignments related to project business operations. Primary responsibilities will include leading and conducting Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs) of JPL subcontractors and JPL projects. Duties will include gathering, reviewing, and analyzing EVM (cost and schedule) data in support of IBRs, conducting interviews of subcontractors and/or JPL project team personnel such as Control Account Managers (CAMs), and synthesizing, summarizing, and writing reports at the conclusion of an IBR. Some IBR planning, coordination, and administrative activities may also be required. In addition to conducting IBRs, the subject matter expert may be required to assist CMIO with other EVM-related duties such as monthly IPMR submittals (data validation and business team assistance), EVM system compliance and surveillance activities, and other EVM support to project business teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • Subject matter expertise in Earned Value Management (EVM) in a government/defense/aerospace environment is critical.
  • Experience in leading/conducting Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs) is also a core requirement of the position.
  • Candidates must be highly skilled in EVM data analysis methods, preferably with both cost and schedule data.
  • Candidates must be comfortable working independently and with minimal supervision; for example, the candidate will be required to lead and conduct CAM and project business team interviews and may also be asked to present findings to management.
  • Candidates must be comfortable working in Excel, PowerPoint, and similar MS Office software tools.
  • Must have good written and oral communication skills and able to work in a team environment.

Desired Qualifications:

Experience with EVM on NASA projects is desirable. Familiarity with EVMS compliance (e.g., EIA-748 32 Guidelines) as well as leading/conducting EVMS compliance or surveillance reviews is also desired.

Experience using EVM software tools (Empower, Cobra, MS Project, etc.) is highly desirable.
