In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing content strategies that amplify Elegen's brand presence across digital platforms. Working cross-functionally with teams such as sales, product, R&D, and external creative consultants, you will take the lead on content projects from ideation to publication, helping to support Elegen's overall marketing strategy.The ideal candidate is passionate about synthetic biology and has a proven track record of producing high-quality content across various formats, including web, print, and video. You will bring fresh ideas to engage our target audience and position Elegen as a thought leader in the industry.Essential Responsibilities:Manage the process for internal and external marketing content creation and distributionWork with external publishers to plan and execute on the creation of paid digital events and assets.Support marketing and product team through creation of new collateral including video, web and PDF content.Manage social media and website content posting and updates.Collaborate with external copy and graphic design resources.Content Creation: Draft, edit, and produce engaging content for blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, eBooks, social media, email campaigns, and more.Creative Briefs: Develop clear and compelling creative briefs to guide designers, videographers, and writers in creating cohesive, on-brand content.Project Management: Oversee the content production process from initial concept through to final publication, ensuring that deadlines and quality standards are met.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Elegen's product, R&D, and sales teams to ensure content aligns with product launches and marketing campaigns.Content Repurposing: Identify opportunities to refresh and repurpose existing content to extend its impact and reach.Brand Consistency: Ensure all content aligns with Elegen's brand voice, messaging, and guidelines across various platforms.Essential Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.3+ years of experience in content marketing, preferably in the biotech, life sciences, or technology sector.2+ years production experience in a content management role either in-house or bio-focused agency.Experience with new content development (Webinar, eBook, Web Site Page etc) including project management and stakeholder communication, website and social media management.Strong writing, editing, and communication skills with a portfolio of published content.Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.Preferred Qualifications and Experience:Biotech experience particularly on the manufacturing or CRO experience.Knowledge of the synthetic biology industry is a plus. Experience with video and multimedia content production is a bonus.Familiarity with SEO, Google Analytics, and content management systems (CMS).Salary and Benefits:The annual base salary compensation for this role, if based in California is: $75,000 - $100,000. Compensation may be different in other locations. Final compensation also includes bonus, equity and benefits.
